Our head office is located in Kinsley, near Pontefract and Wakefield, West Yorkshire, UK but we cater for moves all over the
country whether you are moving a few miles or a few hundred miles. Our representatives can visit you at your home to discuss your moving requirements, with no charge and with no obligation to use us.

Where it all began ...

The Shires Removal Group was born in 1989 from the parent company of P. Sweeting Removals and Storage, a family run business, which was established in 1974. This company then joined with other companies covering all of the shire counties including Yorkshire, Lancashire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire giving us national coverage.

The head office is now located in Kinsley, West Yorkshire where the central storage warehouse of 1,500,000 cubic feet is used entirely for containerised storage of customers’ furniture and belongings.

Going the extra mile…

We can provide you with all the packing materials required in connection with your removal. We supply specially produced wardrobe cartons to hang your clothes in during transit and also linen cartons and other cartons specially produced for the removal industry.

As well as all the packing materials, our vehicles are equipped with approximately 150 thick woollen blankets. Other equipment provided includes piano wheels, sack carts and special stair climbing trolleys. As you can see, we are a well established company with all the correct equipment to undertake your removal.

On Thursday 4th May we moved home from Roston Drive, Hinkley to Brookside in Burbage with the help of Peter & Brian from your company.
